Snow Emergency Declared 3-13-2017

FALLS TOWNSHIP SNOW EMERGENCY

FALLS TOWNSHIP HAS DECLARED A SNOW EMERGENCY, STARTING AT 8:00 PM ON MONDAY, 3/13/17, EXPIRING AT 6:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY, 3/15/17. THIS DECLARATION REQUIRES ALL RESIDENTS TO MOVE ALL VEHICLES, BOATS, TRAILERS, ETC... OFF THE STREET AND IN TO YOUR DRIVEWAY. WE ASK THAT YOU LIMIT YOUR TRAVEL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. ANY VEHICLES LEFT ON THE STREET MAY BE TICKETED AND/OR TOWED.

BE PREPARED FOR STRONG WINDS AND EXTREMELY HEAVY SNOW. THIS STORM MAY BRING DOWN WIRES AND TREES CAUSING POWER OUTAGES. IF YOU HAVE A GENERATOR, PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS ACCESSIBLE AND READY FOR USE. NEVER USE A GENERATOR INSIDE YOUR HOME.

FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY AT 12:00 on 3-13-2017:
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 2000hrs Monday 3/13/2017 until 1800hrs 3/14/2017. Heavy snow with accumulations of 18 - 24 inches are forecasted for the area as well winds. Heavy, wet snow could lead to widespread power outages and hazardous driving conditions.
