Building & Plumbing Codes
Please be advised, Pennsylvania is adopting the 2021 ICC codes for its Uniform Construction Code (UCC), with an effective date of January 1, 2026. There is a six-month phase-in period, allowing projects with contracts signed before January 1, 2026, to use the 2018 ICC codes if a permit is applied for by June 30, 2026. Any projects with contracts signed on or after January 1, 2026, or permits applied for on or after July 1, 2026, must comply with the new 2021 ICC codes.
