Le Gar Salon
A new salon has opened in the Levittown section of Falls with new hairstyles sure to turn some heads.
Le Gar Salon opened its doors in August 2021 at 9080 Mill Creek Road.
“We’re in a great location,” manager Taylor London said. “There’s not a lot of other salons in the area.”
London, who has worked as a cosmetologist for almost six years, has a strong background in bridal hair, makeup, color services, as well as men’s haircuts. Her specialties complement the full-service salon’s other offerings, including men’s barber services and natural hair services including weaves, wigs, styling for textured hair and braiding. Shampoo and blow dry services are available, as are keratin treatments, hair extensions, balayage, and kids’ haircuts.
For now, London is the only full-time stylist. Le Gar Salon employs several part-time stylists and barbers but is looking to expand.
“We’re definitely looking to grow our team with a passionate barber or stylist,” she said. “We offer education as well.”
Le Gar always offers a no-cost consultation for color and cuts, as well as bridal hair and makeup packages.
For now, red is the hot color, according to London.
“This year, a lot of burgundies and reds are in,” she said, adding that lowlights are popular accents.
The salon uses color and hair care products from REF, a Sweden-based company.
“It’s all customizable,” she said of the company’s color line. “You can make whatever color you like.”
In addition, the “very environmentally conscious” products are all 100 percent vegan, as well as cruelty-free and gluten-free.
Before joining the Le Gar Salon team London had managed Cherry Blow Dry Bar in Newtown, which closed amid the pandemic.
While most customers at Le Gar Salon are from Lower Bucks County, London said some folks have ventured there from New Jersey. All agree that Le Gar is a “fun and energetic environment,” she said.
