Pat's Pizza & Bistro
Pat’s Pizza & Bistro owner Sakis Panagiotidis can’t pick a favorite from his eatery’s menu.
The six-page menu features an array of pizzas, gourmet pizzas, huge Stromboli, calzones, cheesesteaks, wraps and rustic sandwiches, favorites like Chicken Parmigiana and Baked Meat Lasagna, as well as a mouth-watering array of burgers, salads, chicken wings and other appetizers.
No wonder it’s difficult to choose a favorite. But, if pressed, Panagiotidis said it would have to be one of the five handmade gourmet pastas offered at his 3,000-square-foot Levittown restaurant.
The large-portion pasta dishes, which are accompanied by garlic knots and a side salad, are chock full of fresh, savory ingredients and finished with house-made sauces. Each bite of the Riviera, for instance, is a delicious taste sensation featuring handmade sacchetti pasta filled with four cheeses, topped with Vodka sauce and tossed with broccoli florets and grilled chicken.
Against the backdrop of a fireplace and earthy brick throughout, the dimly-lit, 68-seat dining room is the perfect setting for a date night, family dinner or special event. The restaurant is BYOB. Dine-in, take-out, delivery and catering are all available.
If you’re looking for a run-of-the-mill pizza shop, this isn’t it.
“It’s not just pizza,” Pat’s Pizza & Bistro Business Relations and Marketing Manager Julia Robbins said of the “versatile” restaurant. “The quality of the food is better. The atmosphere is better. The service is better.”
Much of the menu, including Buffalo Chicken and Mediterranean White gourmet specialty pizzas are mainstays, as are Stromboli and calzones, all with dough made fresh daily. Soups are made each day as well.
New offerings are added occasionally, according to Robbins. Most recently, Pat’s Pizza & Bistro added a Chipotle Chicken Wrap, a Chipotle Chicken Rustic Sandwich and a Chipotle Burger to its menu.
Panagiotidis, who also owns a location in Phoenixville, opened the Levittown Pat’s Pizza & Bistro in 2014. The eatery is one of 54 in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Pat’s Pizza & Bistro got its start in 1974 when a trio of cousins purchased a South Jersey pizza shop known as “Pat’s.”
“They’re all related,” Robbins said of the Pat’s Pizza & Bistro owners, adding that the expression is, “We’re not a franchise. We’re family.”
