Falls Announces ‘Live Here, Spend Here’ Logo Contest Winner

A graphic designer from Philadelphia has claimed a Pinewood Pool membership for his logo creation in Falls Township’s “Live Here, Spend Here” initiative.

David Stencler of Stencler Design Ltd., was chosen from a pool of 19 submissions, according to Falls Supervisors Chairman Bob Harvie.

“It was kind of tough to narrow it down,” Harvie said.

The Supervisors pared down the pool to four and ultimately chose Stencler’s logo design as the winning entry. He was announced as winner during the board’s meeting this week.

Stencler’s circular logo, which will match the township’s orange and green colors, will be used on signage and distributed to Falls businesses to help promote the local spending effort.

The message is simple: “If you live in Falls, spend in Falls,” Harvie said.

The township launched the Live Here, Spend Here initiative in the spring as a joint undertaking with the Community and Economic Development Committee. The goal is to promote existing township businesses and encourage residents to spend more of their hard-earned money within township borders.

Each month, a Falls Township business will be spotlighted in a roughly five-minute video, which will be housed on the township’s Website, aired on the cable access channel and promoted on the township’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
