Recognizing a need for garages for plumbers and other trade businesses to stow their tools, a developer is planning to construct three contractors’ garages in Falls Township.
The Falls Supervisors granted preliminary and final land development approval to Lower Bucks Homebuilders, LLC during Monday’s meeting. Plans call for the consolidation of 10 parcels into a 50,874-square-foot site. Located on Fallsington-Tullytown Road, with secondary frontage on Bristol Pike, the site would house a 5,250-square-foot garage, as well as two garages that would be 4,725 square feet each.
Attorney Mike Meginniss said his client noticed a “need” for local small business owners and startups to have spaces available throughout Falls to house their equipment and tools. The site would feature a one- way point of circulation and no access to large trucks.
“It’s generally going to be used by a box truck or a van,” Meginniss said, noting that business owners may visit the site once a day.
